The international congress is accepting scientific abstracts from students, researchers and healthcare professionals ahead of its November 2026 event.

Students and researchers interested in healthcare, medicine and scientific innovation have an opportunity to present their work on a global stage, with submissions now open for the 46th World Congress of Military Medicine (ICMM Abu Dhabi 2026).

The congress, which will take place from 9–13 November 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, is inviting scientific abstract submissions from students, researchers, physicians and healthcare professionals across a range of medical disciplines.

Organised by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with ADNEC Group and under the supervision of the International Committee of Military Medicine, the biennial event is expected to bring together medical and military experts from more than 120 countries.

The organising committee says students are encouraged to submit research that showcases innovation, new findings or best practices in healthcare. Abstracts must be submitted through the congress website, with the submission window closing on 30 June 2026. Reviews will begin on 1 July.

The scientific programme will cover a broad range of topics, including medical readiness, disaster response, advanced medical and surgical care, healthcare logistics, emerging medical technologies and allied health professions. Additional sessions will explore subjects such as ethics, veterinary medicine and the role of women in military service.

For university students considering careers in medicine, biomedical sciences or healthcare research, participation offers an opportunity to gain international exposure and contribute to discussions on current challenges and innovations in global healthcare.

Alongside the scientific programme, the congress will also host an exhibition where organisations and companies will showcase new technologies, services and healthcare solutions.

Held every two years since 1921, the World Congress of Military Medicine serves as an international platform for sharing research, strengthening collaboration and advancing medical knowledge across both civilian and military healthcare systems.
