Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi to host EduHub open house for Emirati students and families

Sorbonne University EduHub open house

Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi will host the third edition of EduHub on 6 July, offering Emirati students and their families an opportunity to explore higher education pathways, admissions requirements and future career opportunities.

The open house will take place at the Zayed Theatre on the university’s Al Reem Island campus. Prospective students and parents can register through the event registration page.

Designed to help students make informed decisions about their academic future, EduHub will bring together academic leaders, faculty members, admissions representatives, alumni and current students. Visitors will receive guidance on degree programmes, international exchange opportunities, student life, career prospects and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research registration process for higher education institutions.

The event aligns with the UAE’s long-term vision of developing future-ready national talent under the ‘We the UAE 2031’ strategy. Organisers noted that more than 152,000 Emiratis were employed in the private sector by mid-2025 as the country’s Emiratisation initiatives continue to expand.

Established through a partnership between the Abu Dhabi government and Sorbonne University, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi combines internationally recognised academic programmes with a strong emphasis on Emirati culture and values. The university also offers a range of scholarships, including the prestigious HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Scholarship for Emirati students, alongside Excellence Scholarships of up to 100% for outstanding academic achievers.

The programme will begin with a welcome address by Farah Albeshr and include presentations from the university’s three academic schools: the School of Arts and Humanities, the School of Data, Science and Engineering, and the School of Law, Economics and Business.

Attendees will also hear from alumni and current students, participate in live question-and-answer sessions, and take guided campus tours. The event will showcase the university’s multilingual learning environment, student accommodation, sports facilities, collaborative learning spaces, extracurricular activities and the Gulf region’s largest Francophone library.

Commenting on the initiative, Farah Albeshr said EduHub is designed to help Emirati students and their families explore university opportunities with confidence while remaining connected to the UAE’s culture, values and future ambitions throughout their academic journey.

The previous edition of EduHub attracted more than 120 Emirati students and parents, with organisers expecting even higher participation this year as more families seek guidance on university selection and admissions.

Registration for the event is available through the official EduHub registration page.
