NYU Abu Dhabi Partners With Sindan to Advance AI Manufacturing, Research and Student Innovation

Sindan signed MoU with New York University

New collaboration will connect students with real-world advanced manufacturing, AI research and industry training pathways in the UAE.

Sindan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with New York University Abu Dhabi to strengthen collaboration in advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence research and talent development.

The agreement was formalised during Make it in The Emirates at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, in the presence of senior representatives from both organisations.

Under the partnership, Sindan will work closely with NYU Abu Dhabi on areas including material testing, qualification processes and standardisation within advanced manufacturing. The collaboration is expected to give students direct exposure to large-format additive manufacturing technologies and industrial workflows.

The initiative also aims to create structured pathways for student engagement through internships, research programmes and technical bootcamps, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience in emerging manufacturing and AI-driven production systems.

According to Sindan leadership, the partnership is intended to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial application, enabling real-world deployment of advanced technologies while supporting the UAE’s broader innovation ecosystem.

Heyuan Huang said the collaboration will help students develop practical skills and a deeper understanding of AI and manufacturing technologies, positioning them for future careers in the sector.
