Carnegie Mellon Qatar honors 164 students for academic excellence
Spring 2026 Dean’s List recognizes students across all four undergraduate years
Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) has recognized 164 students for academic excellence during the spring 2026 semester, with honorees representing all four years of undergraduate study.
The students were named to the university’s Dean’s List, which recognizes academic achievement each semester. The list included 41 first-year students, 42 sophomores, 58 juniors and 23 seniors.
Dean Michael Trick said the recognition reflects more than academic performance, highlighting students’ commitment to learning, determination in meeting academic challenges and efforts to develop their skills.

The university holds its Dean’s List ceremony twice each academic year to recognize students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement in the previous semester.
The 2026 spring honorees include students from a wide range of national and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the international student community at CMU-Q.
CMU-Q offers undergraduate degrees in artificial intelligence, biological sciences, business administration, computer science and information systems. The university is a Qatar Foundation partner university.
